PROJECT 1 - EXPERIENCING CONSTRUCTION
For
this project, we are required to select an ongoing construction site which
visibly demonstrate most of the subject topics covered in the syllabus. The
selected site should be medium rise or low rise building such as bungalow,
terrace houses or maximum 4 storey building. Moreover, we had to identify the
different types of building element and its construction process, details and
materials. Specifically, we should able to show and apply the knowledge in the
details of the building construction drawing that we are to compile, and
reflecting your understanding of construction itself.
Through this project, I am able to introduce the basic principles and procedures of construction process through the real-life project. Through the site visit, i also understand the sequence and coordination of construction on site. On the site, we had exposed to the construction technology and methods to construct which also need responding to the site context. We also learned to produce manual sketches, drawings and detailing relating to existing construction and this also helped us to demonstrate the understanding and knowledge of construction, material and technology.
PROJECT 1 - PRECEDENT STUDY AND COMPARATIVE ANALYSIS
This project focuses on investigating historical works to enrich student proficiency in architectural language, design and ideas. In a group of 5, we are required to conduct precedent study analysis on specific building through on-line forum discussion, sketch analysis journal, verbal and board presentations. This precedent study analysis project clarifies the questions of “why” the case study is historically, culturally and architecturally importance; and “how” the design concepts derived from the case study can be developed and expanded to be creatively and innovatively integrated into prospect design project. My group members and I were required to conduct precedent study analysis on a building which is related to Renaissance, Royal Selangor Club (RSC).
PROJECT 3 - FINAL PRESENTATION
The final presentation board on the presentation day, rendered by using monochrome colours only. the presentation board starts from inspiration, transformation progress ideas, elevations, storyboard (circulation and perspectives), floor plans, section and oblique. The final model contain 3 different levels for various activities like flying yoga, yoga and rock climbing. The story starts from a girl named Charlotte, who loves outdoor activities especially in the nature. instead of having activities in the city, she's more into nature. While she was having her jungle trekking session, she found Edgy by the cliff and was surprised by it. The other day she came back with her climbing utilities and was fond of the interior of the pod even though it was hard climbing up the cliff just to reach there. Starting on, that's her second house.

PROJECT 3 - FINAL MODEL
Final model is named EDGY due to the geometrical asymmetrical shape of the pod which forms the edges with solid and voids. It was designated for those who are fond of challenging activities like flying yoga, yoga and especially rock climbing. The pod is designated for climbers to climb on with its irregular shape. The huge opening is made for climbers to appreciate the scenery from the cliff. The inspiration came from geometrical shapes, diamonds, rocks with spikes and edges mostly. The keywords for Edgy are bold, geometrical and irregular. To get reach the pod, people have to climb on to the cliff first to enjoy the activities and views in and from the pod.

PROJECT 3 - DEVELOPMENTS
For this assignment, we were to build a recharge pod with 2 or above activities in it. My activities are rock climbing, flying yoga and yoga on a pod which is suspended to a cliff so it is already challenging enough to just to climb up the cliff to get to the pod. The pod is designated to those who loves challenging activities. Starting from massing we were to explore the basic shape of the pod then it gradually turns to space and shaping. By arranging the position of the activities, spaces and appropriate shaping is needed to enhance your pod. The geometrical irregular shape of my pod is to make it feel like a unique stone, diamond stucked onto the cliff.

FITTINGS AND CIRCULATION
The fittings and circulation is then built in to differentiate the entrances on how to get into the pod and fittings to fit the activities in the pod. The big opening on the pod is one of it to let climbers enjoy the beautiful scenery from the cliff. The stairs inside are stucked to the wall in a irregular form like a stacked stone stairs. There are fittings for yoga area and also rock climbing by the wall of the pod which shows different levels of difficulties.
The top of the pod which is the roof floor is designated most for yoga activities as the yoga sunken area space is for flying yoga or yoga activities.
These pin ups shows the progress of models' transformation from massing to the final recharge pod. From human activities, settings to pod circulation and fittings. From plans to storyboards. All these shows the progression of the final model : EDGY.

09 PRESENTATION LAYOUT
We were to develop an understanding of the basic composition in producing presentation
drawing by communicate design idea and process using freehand sketching and rendering
techniques to signify elements of architectural sketches in expressing ideas.
Based from the previous orthographic drawings produced, we were to
compose a presentation board for your final review. Composition is to be colour
rendered (monochrome).
