05 ORTHOGRAPHIC PROJECTION
03 SPACE PERSPECTIVES
All vertical lines are perpendicular to the horizon. All horizontal lines are parallel to the horizon. All diagonal lines intersect at the point on the horizon. Pictures of interior spaces with different perspective views are printed and observed to be drawn to understand the proportion of interior space and basic concepts.

02 OBJECTIVE PERSPECTIVES
By producing a series of interior physical elements using the method of 1-point and 2-point
perspectives. Communicate design idea including process by using freehand sketching and rendering techniques to signify elements of architectural sketches in expressing
ideas. We were to sketch the interior physical components which is a chair and cabinet furniture in artistically
random format with six different angles of perspective views. Captions are added to the illustration and it is rendered using color pencil
with monotone with the hatching techniques only.

01 FREEHAND SKETCHES
Assignment 1A - Sketching and Contouring
The inside out of the selected object which are the capsicums and lady fingers are sketched and contoured Observing closely on selected objects and produce sketches of the object inside out by taking good care at all the details. Contouring
method for rendering is applied.

Assignment 1B - Sketching and Tonal Value
With the understanding of the basic principles of drawing using a range of
media. By communicating the design idea and process using freehand sketching &
rendering techniques to signify elements of architectural sketches in
expressing ideas. Using the same objects again to sketch them with
repetition of four using felt tip pens with the rendering of tonal value.

PROJECT 2 - FINAL MODEL LIGHT AND SHADOW
To understand the shade and shadow of the light piece, shadow pictures are taken. For example, when the light shines from the right bottom, creating shadows that falls on the left side of the building structure. The bigger structure blocked the light which results a dark but long shadow due to the position of the light. The shadow's position, the size/length of the shadow or the darkness of the shadow depends on the position of the light source.

PROJECT 2 - FINAL PRESENTATION
The day before 11.05.17 is when everyone loss their time to sleep and stayed up till the next day (submission day) to finish the final mock ups, models, and presentation board. After the critic session, stress is all relieved but soon to come back as project 3 is on its way after the break. Was really stressful but nothing is easy in life, we still have to live. These are the proofs of me being there for submission.

ASSIGNMENT 2.3 - FORM AND FUNCTION ( FINAL MODEL )
This is the final outcome of my light piece. The keywords for my design is minimalist, bold and geometrical. From the base inspired the Bauhaus Weimar, F-51 Armchair to the final named "DE CAGE". Through explorations and various ideation, the final model is inspired by cube maze as the blocks play around only within the cube and with the skeletal form inspired by the cages and gates, that is the reason named De Cage. In the final model, the blocks are played around horizontally and vertically with the lighting bulb placed in the middle of the cube as a hierarchy. The lighting piece can be mounted outdoor or indoor as it is suitable in any environment as it is minimalist.
ASSIGNMENT 2.2(B) - FORM AND FUNCTION ( FINAL STEP 3 )
By using the same blocks with different length repetitively but in different directions within the cube like a box in a box. The blocks were cut into skeletal form to allow light shine through it, but with some solid blocks to block the light too. A skeletal form shadow is formed when the light shines through it as the sticks were blocking some light from shining through it. The form in inspired by cube maze with the repetition of same size blocks but space to let light shine through for a patterned shadow.

ASSIGNMENT 2.2(B) - FORM AND FUNCTION ( FINAL STEP 2 )
The base is then altered and broken down into parts to create a more interesting form. By splitting it up, it was stacked and laced within the imaginary cube to remain minimalist. It was inspired by the break down of jenga blocks and magic cube. It was played around within the cube like a maze but minimal, applying with the solid and void structure of a cube maze.

| STEP 2 IDEAS |
ASSIGNMENT 2.2(B) - FORM AND FUNCTION ( FINAL STEP 1 )
The stand is changed into the sticks as through explorations, it looks bulky and rigid. By changing the walls into sticks which is still mounted to the model looks more interesting as it has become one with the model. Shorter sticks were added to withstand the weight of the model as it may be too heavy for it to be mounted.
