Penang is a Malaysian state located on the northwest coast of Peninsular Malaysia, by the Strait of Malacca. It comprises two parts – Penang Island, where the capital city, George Town, is located, and Seberang Perai on the Malay Peninsula. Penang is bordered by Kedah to the north and east, and Perak to the south.
It is known as the Silicon Valley of the East due to its industries, Penang is also one of the most urbanised and economically important states in the country. George Town, which was founded by the British in 1786, is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and a thriving tourist destination.
Its heterogeneous population is highly diverse in ethnicity, culture, language and religion. A resident of Penang is colloquially known as a Penangite (in English), Penang Lang (in Penang Hokkien) or Penangkaran (in Tamil).
I went to Penang with my coursemates during the holiday break, it was fun and residence there are really kind and generous. To be honest, Penang is more of a culture and heritage place. They have a lot of performance art, street art, museum and galleries, architecture and most importantly Food. We visited some art galleries there and one of them is Penang Time Tunnel & Fluorescent 3D Mural Museum. It was divided into stages which is the time tunnel, fluorescent 3D mural, 3D mural and anti gravity world.
The penang time tunnel is the first stage about the history of Penang. We travel through time and discover the old Penang and it all began in 1592..
2016.
